Steps to Verify TNEB-Aadhaar Linking Status

TANGEDCO has provided a step-by-step guide for linking Aadhaar cards with TNEB accounts, addressing the ongoing confusion surrounding this process. Despite an extension of two days granted by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation, concerns persist, particularly for those with bill payment deadlines falling between November 24 and November 30. The decision to extend the deadline stemmed from numerous consumer complaints citing difficulties in linking their Aadhaar cards with their electricity service numbers.
It is crucial to note that TANGEDCO has made it obligatory for all consumers to link their Aadhaar cards with their TNEB accounts to continue receiving subsidies. In enforcing this requirement, TANGEDCO offices are currently refusing to accept current consumption (CC) charges from consumers who have not completed the Aadhaar linking process with TNEB.
How to Check TNEB-Aadhaar Linking Status:
1. Go to the official TANGEDCO website.
2. Access the billing services section and scroll down to locate the option for checking bill status.
3. Enter your service connection number and the mobile number registered with your account.
4. Click the submit button to proceed.
Upon completion of these steps, TANGEDCO will furnish comprehensive details regarding your service connection, indicating whether the Aadhaar details have been successfully updated.

1. Visit the legit TNEB internet site. Please be aware that as consistent with the website, Aadhaar linking is currently applicable for domestic, energy loom, agriculture, and hut services only.
2. Input your TANGEDCO carrier connection number, following the layout received through SMS or as printed on the receipt.
3. Verify your cell quantity by producing and coming into the OTP sent to your registered cell.
4. Authenticate your TANGEDCO account.
5. Provide details about the occupant.
6. Enter the Aadhaar variety this is to be related together with your TANGEDCO account.
7. Input the call exactly as it appears on the Aadhaar card.
8. Upload a copy of the Aadhaar card in JPG, JPEG, or PDF layout with a maximum length of 500KB.
